Why we exist
If you're with someone from a Spanish-speaking family, you probably know the moment. Everyone is talking and laughing, your partner is translating in whispers, and their mom, who has been nothing but kind to you, asks you something. You smile. You nod. You wish you could just answer her.
Language apps weren't built for that moment. They teach the same sentences to millions of strangers. But the Spanish that matters to you is specific: her name, her pozole, the question "how did you two meet?", and a thank-you at the end of the night.
So we built Spanish for one family at a time.
How your plan is made
- You tell us about their family. Who you'll meet, what they cook, how you met, and the moments you're nervous about.
- We build it from our phrase library: sentences written for real family moments, checked line by line by a native speaker, and adapted to Mexican, Colombian, or Puerto Rican families.
- Their names and your story go in, with the grammar matched for you: su or sus, encantado or encantada.
- Your toast comes last, a short message for their family, written with you.
- You get a PDF and a private listening page, with audio for every phrase, timed to finish the day before you see them.
